Lancelin is one of the prime locations in the world for Windsurfing and Kiting. The Lodge is set up to cater for the wind- and kitesurfers who come for the season (October to April). You can find more windsurf information on www.oceanclassic.com.au

TOWN ATTRACTIONS

The back beach has a very consistent surf break but those more experienced surf in various spots on the reef. Surfboards can be hired, or 2 hr surf lessons can be arranged at the back beach contact learn to surf surfschool. There is a trail from the Lodge to the surf beach and this is a great walk any time of the day. Most days dolphins can be seen at the point very close to shore. A car is not needed in Lancelin as everything you will need is within walking distance. The sand dunes in Lancelin, located on the edge of the town, are a major attraction. Sandboards can be hired and taken directly to the dunes. If you would like something more structured, then the Desert Storm Adventures dune tour which includes sandboarding can be arranged most days. The latest attraction on the dunes are Hummer Thrill Rides www.proformance.com.au . The dunes are great for photo opportunities at sunrise or sunset or just enjoy the peaceful feelings that surround you.

Lancelin is a great town for walking or cycling. The jetty is always an interesting place to visit with the crayboats unloading their catch in the season or just to watch people fishing or the antics of the small seals and stingrays.
