TOWN ATTRACTIONS

The back beach has a very consistent surf break but those more experienced surf in various spots on the reef. Surfboards can be hired at the local Surf shop or at Wade’s surf shack. There is a trail from the Lodge to the surf beach and this is a great walk any time of the day. Most days dolphins can be seen at the point very close to shore. A car is not needed in Lancelin as everything you will need is within walking distance.

The sand dunes in Lancelin, located on the edge of the town, are a major attraction. Sand Boards can be hired in from the office and taken directly to the dunes. The dunes are great for photo opportunities at sunrise or sunset or just enjoy the peaceful feelings that surround you.

Lancelin is a great town for walking or cycling. A footpath allows you to meander along the foreshore from the windsurfing park all the way to the lookout on Hinchcliff hill. The jetty is always an interesting place to visit with the crayboats unloading their catch in the season or just to watch people fishing or the antics of the small seals, stingrays and dolphins.

The Endeavour tavern and Lancelin Beach Hotel are both located right on the beach and are great spots to watch the sun go down while enjoying a cold beer.
